In a country riddled by political and social unrest, UN:STABLE:BEIRUT is a short documentary that looks into the current state of the contemporary art scene in Beirut, Lebanon. Living in the aftermath of several recent conflicts, artists, curators, producers, and supporters of the arts share their opinions on what it's like to be an artist in such an unstable environment. What is the effect of chaos on the arts? Hindering, inspiring, frustrating, liberating? These are some of the questions posed by first-time filmmakers Diego Beyro and Hanna Abi-Hanna as they travelled to Beirut to get an up-close and personal overview on the scene.
