Chain T-shirt

Year: 2006

Authorship: Bethany Koby (USA), Selwa Sweidan (Usa), Eric Faggin (USA), Sam Baron (France), Ann Poochareon, Linus Nilsson and Daniel Hirschmann (South Africa)

Seven t-shirts, sent around the world for seven weeks, each with seven contributors. The chain t-shirt is a project that uses an ordinary object, a t-shirt, to create a web of serendipitous connections via an organic and familiar system much like a chain letter. A total of 100 t-shirts has been printed and has become a part of the overall project. Directions for use: you have one week to create a personal contribution in the form of a statement, image, story, drawing, or anything you would like to add to this collaboration. Once you have completed your contribution, please take a photo of yourself wearing the t-shirt using the camera provided in the package. Sign the participation agreement form provided in the green envelope. This is very important! Take a white t-shirt sticker for yourself as a reminder of your participation. Please put all elements back into the box. Mail, courier, or give the box to someone else. It can be anyone but please make sure it is someone who can contribute within a week. Postage is the responsibility of the contributor, but your contribution is greatly appreciated and will be karmically compensated.

*THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING! ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY FUTURE EVENTS OR SHOWS THE T-SHIRTS WILL BE INVOLVED IN.
